How much does the API cost?

The API is currently completely free to use with no request limits. We may introduce premium plans with additional features in the future, but there will always be a generous free tier available.

What barcode formats are supported?

We support 12 barcode formats including 1D codes (Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, Codabar) and 2D codes (QR Code, DataMatrix, PDF-417, Aztec).

Is there a rate limit?

Currently, there are no rate limits on API requests. We trust our users to use the service responsibly. If abuse is detected, we may introduce fair usage limits.

How do I get an API key?

Simply register for a free account, verify your email address, and you can generate API keys instantly from your dashboard. Each key can be named and managed independently.

What format are the barcodes returned in?

All barcodes are returned as SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). This means they are infinitely scalable without losing quality, have small file sizes, and can be easily styled with CSS.
